URGENT! Our shelter is in crisis. The increase in dogs and cats has skyrocketed expenses. Public aid only covers 11% of the annual costs, and private donations are not enough. Our facilities are collapsing, and the animals are stressed. We owe over 10,000 euros to veterinarians, and the bills keep increasing. In May alone, we received 37 dogs. PLEASE, HELP US (donate, become a member, volunteer, or foster)

Description : This is our beautiful Mila. She is a reserved and cautious dog. She has probably never been well socialized with humans or had bad experiences with them. However, with other dogs, Mila gets along very well. She lives in a group with females and males, in an exemplary manner. Her canine family offers her support, protection and security. Mila has a submissive position in the group, she is sweet, balanced and docile with her canine friends. She also does not show envy or greed for food when the other puppies eat. In the shelter, Mila has been able to see that the humans are not so bad, since they bring food and sweets. Little by little, she has begun to eat with her caregivers without showing too much fear. However, she still won’t let people pet her, which makes us very sad.

History : Mila was found along with her cubs. She was a magnificent mother, very tender and affectionate, she gave everything to raise her puppies safely. Mila’s puppies were quickly adopted, but our sensitive Mila is still waiting for her own family.

We’re looking for : Mila waits for very special people, people who, when they meet her, will realize how wonderful she is. It would be very helpful for her to have people who already have experience with fearful dogs and who know that they must have a lot of strength, time, love and patience to help Mila, but who are willing to not expect anything from her at first. People who are highly empathetic and who know when to be close or distant, already have great potential to be the right people for Mila. We are sure that Mila will need time to open up and trust people, but we also think that she will be a very grateful partner with the person who works hard to earn her trust. For Mila we are looking for a home with a well-fenced garden, because she does not know how to walk on a leash yet. The garden will be an important place in the early stages to create an initial bond with Mila. It would also be great for her to find a home where one or more dogs already live, as they could help Mila a lot in her process. If you feel willing because you have already fallen in love with our sweet Mila, get in touch with us.
