URGENT! Our shelter is in crisis. The increase in dogs and cats has skyrocketed expenses. Public aid only covers 11% of the annual costs, and private donations are not enough. Our facilities are collapsing, and the animals are stressed. We owe over 10,000 euros to veterinarians, and the bills keep increasing. In May alone, we received 37 dogs. PLEASE, HELP US (donate, become a member, volunteer, or foster)

This precious puppy was found with its two siblings by a family at the side of the road in a town near Alcañiz. Thankfully, these people didn’t look away, they picked them up and brought them to the shelter. Sil’s two siblings have already been adopted. It has been a bit hard for poor Sil to accept that his siblings have found a family while he remains in the shelter, but little by little, he is making new friendships and bonds with the caregivers. We believe he is a mix of Mastiff and Shepherd dog, both herding breeds, but we’re not entirely sure yet. This means he’ll need to be exercised both physically and mentally. For now, he’s still a bit shy since everything is new to him, but he’s opening up quickly. Besides playing and receiving treats, something he loves is lying belly up to soak up the sun. We believe he’ll be a medium to large-sized dog.

Sil needs a family that can teach him how to be a grown-up dog, that can help him grow up balanced and become a happy adult dog in a home filled with understanding, patience, and love. Could you be that family?

Adoption costs for dogs  : ADULT 180€ / PUPPY 120€ All animals available for adoption have a microchip and passport. They have been tested for common diseases (Leishmania for dogs, FeLV and FIV for cats). Adult animals are fully vaccinated and castrated.

* Until complete adaptation, adult supervision with small children is essential.

** This means we have tested the dog with cats in the shelter and has shown no reactive behaviour, but this does not guarantee 100% compatibility with cats. Therefore, we always advise that cats and dogs are together only under surveillance.
