Hello everyone! Today we present to you two dogs whose souls have suffered a lot, since they have not known human love and protection. These souls cannot continue to be ignored and we are convinced that must be someone who opens the hearts to welcome them into their lives. Maybe you are that person?
Lassi and Lisa came to the shelter after their owner passed away and the family was unable to care for them. Until then, they had lived in a shed isolated from the world, as most southern hounds do. Therefore, Lassi and Lisa are not used to living with people. Lisa already lets the vets she’s used to touch her, but she literally freezes like a salt statue because the poor thing has never been given these cuddles before. You can see what we are talking about in their videos and photos!
Lisa has been diagnosed with heart-worm disease. The treatment for this diagnosis is long and difficult. Due to the threat of pulmonary embolism that exists with this condition, Lisa must not be subjected to any physical exertion or stress and must live in isolation in a quarantine zone at least until the end of April 2023. However, the separation of these two best friends, who have only known love from each other would be counterproductive for a successful treatment of the disease. So, for the moment, Lisa will be kept together with her friend Lassi, since they are the support of each other.
Poor Lassi is even more scared than Lisa. Lisa’s anxiety can only be worked on to a very limited extent at the moment, but as you can see in the videos there is so much room for improvement in her fears. This delicate little angel is therefore not adoptable yet.
As an animal protection association, we would like to give these two forgotten souls the chance to find a home. The fact that they are scared does not mean that there is no remedy. As you can see, in a very short time, they already let themselves be cuddled! All they need is someone to gently hold their paw and lovingly lead them into life.
Maybe you’ve already fallen so hard for one of these two lovely ladies that you say, “I’ll wait as long as it takes for one of them!” If you’re that person with a big open heart, please get in touch with us!
Adoption costs for dogs : ADULT 180€ / PUPPY 120€
* Until complete adaptation, adult supervision with small children is essential.
** This means we have tested the dog with cats in the shelter and has shown no reactive behaviour, but this does not guarantee 100% compatibility with cats. Therefore, we always advise that cats and dogs are together only under surveillance.
