History : When Eva was found near a hotel in early August, she looked more like an ugly duckling than a pretty swan. As she wandered around trying to survive, she caught the attention of more than one animal lover who recognized her distress. Her pretty little face had several small injuries and she was very hungry. Fortunately, Eva had a stroke of luck, she was rescued from and taken to the shelter. Once there, she was taken care of with a lot of love, calm and experience. It turned out that Eva was suffering from scabies, a disease that was treated at the time and she is now fully recovered, and has become a beautiful podenquita that will soon melt the hearts of lovers of the breed.

Personality : Once her quarantine due to illness was over, Eva was able to integrate into a group with males and females without any problem. She gets along very well with her mates. In the shelter, Eva has already made friends with her keepers, they have a lot of experience and an unconditional love for animals, which means that shy dogs in particular can have many positive experiences and come out their shell. This is also the case of Eva 🙂 . At first, she is reluctant to be touched by strangers, but after a few minutes, her curiosity, typical of podencos, wins her over. Her first outing on a leash has been successfully passed and she has quickly gotten rid of her initial nervousness.

We’re looking for : Due to her race, Eva has a hunting instinct, which her new family must know about. Podencos are considered sensitive creatures with a kind soul, so people who are already infected by the “podenco virus” would be ideal for her, but anyone else can discover this breed and fall in love with it. If you want more information about Eva, do not hesitate to contact us.

All animals available for adoption have a microchip and passport. They have been tested for common diseases (Leishmania for dogs, FeLV and FIP for cats). Adult animals are fully vaccinated and castrated.
