A shy Hello! to all. My name is Artur. My caregivers at the shelter say that I characterize myself as being very, very sensitive!

I get along very well with dogs, I feel very comfortable with them and I would never get into a fight. Avoiding conflicts is definitely one of my strong points.

When it comes to being with two-legged friends – I mean humans – I’m a bit cautious and insecure at first, but if you give me a little or a lot of time and sit next to me, you’ll win over my curiosity in no time. I’ll want to sniff around you first and absorb your scent so my up to 300 million olfactory cells know who I’m dealing with. If you allow me to do this and the chemistry is right, I will be happy to let you touch me because I will not have been able to detect any negative vibrations in you. In the shelter I have already become very good friends with my caregivers and, in fact, I have become very cuddly with them.

Unfortunately, I can’t tell you how and why I ended up here at the shelter, but I would like to use my time here to prepare for family life. For now, I’m happy because I already have photos and texts of me on the website, so I’m repeating to myself: Wait. Wait for someone to discover you, fall in love with your eyes and your dog body, someone who feels in his heart that I am the companion he needs, that he realizes that I can enrich his pack and even become his favorite dog. Although, to be honest, I hope I don’t have to wait too long and can change the shelter for a warm and loving home soon!

It’s also worth saying that I’m basically an open-minded, happy dog, and you just have to trust me. To you, the people who are going to potentially open your heart to me, I would ask for a little sensitivity and patience, as well as the promise that soon we will be together forever.
I would certainly love it if you had another dog at home to show me everything I haven’t been able to learn yet, but I would also move in with you only if you’re willing to do this job and want to have me as your only dog.

Since the Podenco breed is definitely in my genes, you should know that I have hunting instincts, but this shouldn’t be a big problem, right? Maybe you already know my breed and have experience with it.

All animals available for adoption have a microchip and passport. They have been tested for common diseases (Leishmania for dogs, FeLV and FIP for cats). Adult animals are fully vaccinated and castrated.
